Yetunde Wunmi Reflects on Career Sacrifices
Veteran Yoruba actress Yetunde Wunmi, 64, shared the sacrifices she made for her acting career in an interview with BBC Yoruba. She revealed that her journey began in 1982 when she joined Sunday Akinola’s “Feyi Kogbon” theatre group as a stage performer.
Reflecting on her nearly 40-year experience in the film industry, Wunmi explained how her passion for acting led to the end of her marriage. She fondly recalled a moment with the late actor Adelove, who inspired her love for theatre. “I lost my marriage because of my dedication to theatre, but I have no regrets,” she said, acknowledging God’s grace in her life.

The influencer added in his vows “We are one. Whatever is mine is yours. I promise to do 50/50 with you; I don’t care what people say.”
