Former Senator Shehu Sani, who represented Kaduna Central in the 8th Assembly, has responded to Hadiza El-Rufai, the former First Lady of Kaduna State, following a grammar correction she made on one of his social media posts.

The exchange began when Sani posted on X (formerly Twitter) about President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, suggesting that the president’s travel out of the country leads to a rise in taxes and commodity prices. “When the President travels out, taxes and prices goes up,” he wrote.

Mrs. El-Rufai, known for her penchant for correcting grammar errors online, responded by pointing out that Sani’s post should read “go up” instead of “goes up.”

In his response, Sani playfully referred to her as “mummy” and asked her to leave him alone, adding, “I unfollowed you and you unfollowed me. And you still de hang around me. Mummy, leave me alone abeg.”
