Davido Congratulates Trump on Win and Praises Kamala Harris Efforts After Election

Afrobeats superstar, Davido, whose full name is David Adeleke, has extended his congratulations to former U.S. President Donald Trump following his re-election as the 47th President of the United States.
The singer took to his social media platform, X, to publicly acknowledge Trump’s victory, while also sending heartfelt words of support to Vice President Kamala Harris, who did not win the presidency this time around.
In his message, Davido commended Harris for her strength and accomplishments, referring to her as a “solid woman.”
He expressed that while the election did not go in her favor, she should hold her head high for all that she has achieved.
His words were a gesture of respect for her groundbreaking political career, particularly as the first woman, first Black woman, and first woman of South Asian descent to hold the office of Vice President.
Davido’s message on social media read: “Congratulations 47th POTUS @realDonaldTrump.
But you @KamalaHarris should be proud! You did that! A solid woman.”
It was clear that the artist, known for his bold personality and influential social media presence, wanted to mention Harris’s resilience in the face of adversity.
What made the post even more significant was that Davido revealed that this election marked his first time ever voting in a U.S. presidential election.
Born in Atlanta, Georgia, the Nigerian singer has long held dual citizenship in the U.S. and Nigeria.
However, the singer chose not to disclose which candidate he voted for, keeping his personal political views private.

“Afrobeats Has Stalled” – Amaarae Hails Rema’s ‘HEIS’ for Pushing Boundaries

Ghanaian-American singer Amaarae goes viral after sharing her thoughts on the current state of Afrobeats, stating that the genre has stalled.
She expressed concern about how Afrobeats is becoming too repetitive and urged artists to experiment with new sounds.
“Afrobeats and African music need to evolve. It needs to evolve in a direction that is fearless, and I think right now artists have made so much money from a certain type of sound that they are afraid to step out of the boundaries because they are probably more focused on the financial aspect of it. And as a result, I think Afrobeats has stalled.”
The singer then gave an example, commenting on how Rema did just that with his recent album “HEIS”.
