Denmark’s Victoria Kjær Theilvig Wins Miss Universe 2024

For the first time in history, Denmark claimed the Miss Universe crown as 21-year-old Victoria Kjær Theilvig emerged victorious at the finale in Mexico.

Theilvig, a mental health advocate and aspiring lawyer, stood out among 130 contestants with her advocacy for mental health, animal rights, and women empowerment. Her impactful message during the Q&A session secured her the title, marking a historic moment for her country.

Miss Nigeria, Chidimma Adetshina, was named first runner-up, winning admiration for her charisma and vision.

Victoria, also a European and World Championship dancer, plans to use her reign to champion animal rights and inspire women globally. Her victory has sparked celebrations in Denmark and around the world.

Residents of Lagos should prepare for traffic disruptions as several roads will be closed due to the visit of Bola Ahmed Tinubu, who is set to commission infrastructural projects.

The commissioning will take place on April 8 and 9, 2026.

Affected areas on Wednesday (April 8):
Opebi, Allen Avenue, Ikeja, Ojota, and Victoria Island.

Affected areas on Thursday (April 9):
Lekki-Epe Expressway, Ikoyi, Victoria Island, and Ajegunle.

Motorists are advised to plan alternative routes and expect heavy traffic during these periods.
