Nigerian Afrobeats sensation, David Adeleke, better known as Davido, has taken a moment to reflect on his life as he celebrates his 32nd birthday.
The iconic artist, whose music and vibrant personality have won the hearts of millions, turned a year older on Thursday, November 21, and marked the milestone by sharing heartfelt thoughts with his fans on X (formerly Twitter).
In his post, the ‘Omo Baba Olowo’ hitmaker acknowledged the ups and downs that have shaped his journey, making it clear that, despite public perception, his life hasn’t been a walk in the park.
“Big 32 soon! Omo, God is good.
Happy to be alive! My eyes don see shege! But steady my fans dey shout shekpe!” he wrote, expressing gratitude for life, God’s blessings, and the unwavering support of his fans.
Davido’s reference to “shege” explains the challenges he’s faced, a word commonly used to describe intense hardship in Nigerian slang.
This revelation gives a glimpse into the struggles Known for his generosity, Davido once again showcased his philanthropic side by announcing a donation of N300 million to orphanages across Nigeria to celebrate his birthday.
This kind-hearted gesture mirrors a similar act in 2021 when he gave out N250 million, a combination of public donations and personal funds, to orphanages in honor of his 29th birthday.
