During an appearance on Cocktails and Takeaways, Toke revealed that much of her youth was consumed by a singular focus on a long-term relationship.

Looking back, she admits that period of her life felt limiting and lacked the self-discovery she now values.

Reflecting on that chapter, Toke said, “I don’t think I really enjoyed my 20s.

At the time, I didn’t fully know what I was doing because I was so deeply invested in just one man.

My entire 20s revolved around that one relationship.”

Although she cherishes the growth that came from those experiences, Toke emphasized how her perspective has shifted over the years.

She noted that her past decisions and the lessons that followed have been pivotal in shaping her current outlook on life and relationships.

“If I could turn back time, I might have made different choices,” she added.

“But I’m grateful for where I am today. Every experience has contributed to the woman I’ve become.”

Toke used her story as an opportunity to share advice with younger people, cautioning against rushing into serious commitments during their early years.

She encouraged them to prioritize personal growth and self-awareness.

“I always tell young people, especially women, that there’s no need to rush into marriage in your early or mid-20s.

Those years should be about figuring out who you are and building a foundation for your future. Knowing yourself first is key to building a healthy and fulfilling life.
