Ruggedman Backs Davido on Economy Comments and Urges Government to Solve Nigeria’s Problems

Veteran rapper Michael Ugochukwu Stephens, popularly known as Ruggedman, has spoken out in defense of afrobeats superstar Davido following the backlash over his recent remarks about Nigeria’s struggling economy.
Davido, whose real name is David Adeleke, stirred controversy during a podcast interview where he advised Americans against relocating to Africa, particularly Nigeria.
He described the country’s economy as being in a dire state, referring to it as a “shamble.”
Responding to the criticism, Ruggedman took to his X (formerly Twitter) handle to share his perspective.
He argued that Davido’s comments were not far from the truth and called on the government to address the real issue—the deteriorating state of the economy.
According to Ruggedman, fixing the nation’s problems should take priority over attacking Davido for stating what many Nigerians experience daily.
He wrote, “Davido has said what he said. Now, moving forward, the government should focus on fixing Nigeria so that nobody will have reasons to make such comments again.
All this barking everywhere won’t solve the problem. The hardship is too much.”

Odumodublvck Ask for Peter Obi’s Support After Facing Criticism for Dissing Tinubu

Nigerian rapper Tochukwu Ojogwu, better known as Odumodublvck, has opened up about why he took a shot at President Bola Tinubu in his song Vex.
According to him, the diss track was a show of loyalty to Peter Obi, the 2023 presidential candidate of the Labour Party. However, the move has brought him heavy criticism, and now he wants Obi to publicly support his album The Machine Is Coming as a way to mend their bond.
Talking to X, he wrote, Peter Obi, I even dissed Tinubu for you. Now, because of you, people are spitting on me and my legacy. Tweet The Machine Is Coming to rekindle and redeem our friendship, sir. Do not listen to them. Listen to your heart. So far, Peter Obi has not responded.

“My man has to be wealthy, at least on my level,” she said. “He should be making at least $5 million a year. And I don’t want someone involved in anything illegal.”
