Popular Singer, Davido States That Afrobeats Cannot Be Mentioned Without His Name
Popular Nigerian Singer, Davido states that it is impossible to bring up Afrobeats without mentioning his name. In the latest TheBeatJuice magazine issue, the artists gave this statement. “Afrobeats can’t be brought up without my name. Impossible”.
Davido once stated that he is glad that his music has been categorised as Afrobeats and the impact it has on African music. “I don’t get offended when we’ve been categorised as Afrobeats. I mean, we need a genre. It could be R&B or Afropop.”
“I call my music Afrofusion but I’m not big on ‘O put Afrofusion on my song.’ I know how long it took for African music to become mainstream,”
The Love Island USA Season 8 cast has reunited ahead of the show’s highly anticipated reunion.

Nigerian TikTok influencer Peller makes headlines for his vows to his wife, Jarvis, at their white wedding, which was held on August 1, 2026. The couple had previously announced the date ahead of their wedding.
The influencer added in his vows “We are one. Whatever is mine is yours. I promise to do 50/50 with you; I don’t care what people say.”
Fans were left in awe of the couple and shared how their love appears genuine despite the content and jokes they often make online.
Nigerian music executive Soso Soberekon offers Peter Okoye ₦500 million if he beats his brother, Paul Okoye, in a boxing match.
It can be noted that the music executive wrote out the offer on his phone and simply put it out “₦500 Million Naira to fight your twin in a boxing match.”
