Ukraine Reveals Tryzub Laser Weapon Capable of Shooting Down Targets Over a Mile Away
Ukraine has unveiled a groundbreaking laser weapon capable of shooting down targets from over a mile away.
This was made by Vadym Sukharevskyi, the Commander of the Armed Forces of Ukraine’s Unmanned Systems, during his speech at a defence summit held in Kyiv this week.
Sukharevskyi shared that the laser system has already proven effective in shooting down aircraft at altitudes exceeding 2 kilometres (about 1.2 miles).
He confidently affirmed the capabilities of the weapon, stating, “It truly works, it truly exists.”
According to reports from CNN, citing the Interfax-Ukraine news agency, the Ukrainian military is also working to scale up the capabilities of the laser.
The laser weapon, named Tryzub, which translates to “trident” in Ukrainian, is a powerful symbol of Ukraine’s national identity.
The Tryzub, which appears on the country’s coat of arms, represents Ukraine’s strength, independence, and unity.

Isaac Fayose Criticizes Government Over Taxation and Insecurity
Nigerian businessman Isaac Fayose has spoken about what he considers one of the country’s biggest problems, stating that many Nigerians are worried about government taxation, insecurity, and the increasing rate of kidnappings for ransom.
He lamented the situation and criticized the government, arguing that these issues have become deeply rooted and that there appears to be no lasting solution in sight.
According to him “In Nigeria we have two governments. One is collecting tax, the other one is collecting ransom. Both of them have one thing in common which is to make life difficult for their people.
The one that is collecting tax without doing anything will come and share you rice and semolina. The one that is collecting ransom is doing giveaway on social media.”
