“Arsenal Have Been Through a Lot” – Neville Says as He Backs Them for Title
Gary Neville, the former Manchester United captain, is still backing Arsenal to clinch the Premier League title this season, despite their mixed form so far.
Before the 2024/2025 season began, Neville had predicted that Arsenal, under manager Mikel Arteta, would end their long wait for the coveted trophy, which has eluded them for over 20 years.
However, the Gunners have faced some challenges in the first half of the campaign, currently sitting in third place, nine points behind Liverpool.
Despite Liverpool’s dominance so far, Neville remains convinced that Arsenal can still emerge as champions.
He acknowledged Liverpool’s strong position but pointed out that there’s still a long way to go in the season.
In an interview with Sky Sports, Neville said, “Sometimes the path to success isn’t straightforward.
Liverpool are the favorites right now, and they’re in fantastic form, but Arsenal have been through a lot in recent years.
They’ve often pushed until the very end, and when you win for the first time, it doesn’t always happen as expected.
There’s always room for surprises, and Arsenal have shown resilience.”
