Ibrahim Chatta Says Davido Is Richer and More Influential Than His Billionaire Father
Popular Nollywood actor Ibrahim Chatta has sparked conversation by stating that singer Davido is not only richer but also more influential than his billionaire father, Adedeji Adeleke.
Chatta shared this perspective while advising young people to respect those in positions of authority, regardless of their age. He emphasized that respect should be based on achievements and influence, not just seniority.
Drawing a historical analogy, he referenced Alexander the Great, who began ruling at 20 and achieved extraordinary feats before his death at 33. Despite his age, Alexander commanded the respect of leaders who were older and more experienced, proving that greatness isn’t tied to years lived.
He likened this to Davido’s situation, highlighting that although the singer is younger, his accomplishments, fame, and influence have earned him the status of an elder in society. Chatta further argued that an elder is someone whose achievements set them apart, regardless of age.
Discussing Davido’s immense popularity, the actor recalled being amazed by the large number of people willing to go to great lengths just to be in the singer’s presence. According to Chatta, this kind of influence surpasses even that of Davido’s father, Adedeji Adeleke, a respected billionaire businessman and philanthropist.
He noted that while Adedeji Adeleke’s wealth and accomplishments are significant, Davido’s fame and impact on people’s lives make him stand out even more. “If his father walked past, you might not recognize him,” Chatta said. “But if Davido walked by, chaos would erupt from the excitement.”
