Nicki Minaj has officially been crowned the greatest female rapper of all time by Billboard, topping their newly released list that celebrates the most iconic women in hip-hop.

The list, curated by Billboard’s editorial team, placed Nicki at number one, followed closely by legends like Missy Elliott, Lauryn Hill, Lil’ Kim, and Queen Latifah, who rounded out the top five.

Interestingly, some of Nicki’s biggest industry rivals didn’t make the top 10. Cardi B landed at number 11, while Megan Thee Stallion came in at number 15.

Other hip-hop pioneers featured in the top 10 include MC Lyte, Salt-N-Pepa, Roxanne Shanté, Eve, and Foxy Brown.

Even though Nicki has yet to grab a Grammy, her influence and dominance in the rap game continue to earn her major recognition. Meanwhile, both Cardi B and Megan have already picked up Grammy wins in rap categories.
