“Argentina Can Play Well Without Messi” – Argentina Coach Says
Lionel Scaloni, Argentina’s head coach, has suggested that while Lionel Messi remains a key figure, the team no longer depends on him to perform at their best. Messi, who has netted 112 goals in 192 appearances for the Albiceleste, has been instrumental in their recent success—leading them to a World Cup and two Copa América titles. But with the legendary forward turning 38 later this month, Scaloni is already planning for the future.
“The team has reached a point where it functions just as well with or without Leo,” Scaloni said. “Before, we had to adjust certain players when he wasn’t there, but now the system works the same way. That’s a positive sign.” Argentina’s recent performances back up his claim—they’ve secured crucial wins over Uruguay and Brazil in World Cup qualifiers even in Messi’s absence, proving their strength runs deeper than just one superstar.
Former Liverpool player, Jamie Carragher, speaks on Arsenal’s next match and claims that their game against Aston Villa will be challenging and described it as a test for the team to see how well they perform.
“Arsenal have looked the best team in the league by a long way so far this season, but Man City are still only five points behind.
There’s a long way to go and Arsenal will need to keep their heads! It could be tested tomorrow against Aston Villa!!”
Former Manchester United player, Jesse Lingard, has revealed that he has mutually agreed to leave FC Seoul and his contract will end. It is reported that he will leave next week.
It can be noted that the footballer joined in February 2024 and has made 66 appearances since then, scoring 18 goals.

When comparing players, he shared that: “When Saka is on it, he looks unplayable,” however he also stated that even with Salah’s stature, he is strong.
He has got the strength like Mohamed Salah. He is small in frame and size when you look at him, but do you ever see him get pushed off the ball?
“You don’t really see people take the ball off him or put him on his arse. He is a strong little guy.”
