Adeleye says Super Eagles is ready to defeat Rwanda in world cup qualifier
Super Eagles goalkeeper Adebayo Adeleye has promised that the team will give everything on the pitch to claim all three points against Rwanda’s Amavubi.
Nigeria needs a win to keep their hopes of reaching the 2026 FIFA World Cup alive, with the tournament set to take place in Canada, Mexico, and the United States. The crucial qualifier will be played in Uyo on Saturday.
The Eagles were previously held to a 1-1 draw at home by Zimbabwe, a result that piled pressure on them to deliver this time. Adeleye, who has returned to the squad after missing out on AFCON 2023, stressed the importance of the clash.
“We are ready for Rwanda, they must fall,” he said confidently. “Everyone is prepared, we know what’s at stake, and we can’t afford to waste this chance.”
