Puerto Rican megastar Bad Bunny has officially been announced as the headliner for the Super Bowl LX halftime show. It will take place on February 8, 2026, at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, California. This announcement was made during an NFL game on Sunday night.

Speaking on the news, Bad Bunny dedicated the moment to his roots. He says it was for his people, his culture, and the history that shaped him.

The halftime show is being put together by DPS with Roc Nation and Jesse Collins as executive producers. Hamish Hamilton will direct, and ensure the spectacle matches the high expectations that come with one of the world’s biggest annual broadcasts. Last year’s halftime show, led by Kendrick Lamar, drew record numbers, so the bar has been set incredibly high.

Bad Bunny, born Benito Antonio Martínez Ocasio, has built a career that blends reggaeton, Latin trap, and global pop influences. He’s not only a multi-Grammy winner but also one of the most streamed artists on the planet. His recent album Debí Tirar Más Fotos has dominated charts, and his 30-show residency in Puerto Rico earlier this year pulled in massive crowds.

Interestingly, Bad Bunny has chosen not to tour the U.S. in 2025. He cited concerns over immigration enforcement that could affect his fans. This is one of the few chances American audiences will get to see him live on stage.
