Funke Akindele Opens Up About Her Unique Movie Promotion Strategy
Nigerian actress Funke Akindele has explained why she promotes her movies by creating dance content.
She shared that the idea was to capture the audience’s attention and create awareness for her films. While she received criticism for the videos, she clarified that they were simply a marketing strategy.
“I did Battle on Buka Street and I didn’t have the budget for PR and marketing. So I just did a backdrop in my sitting room in my house and I put the camera there. Stop belittling my work. It’s not dancing. It’s hard work.
“If you don’t feel like you want to jump on it to promote your movie, you’re welcome. But you don’t have to dance. Create your own ideas. Come up with something different.”
Nigerian media personality Toke Makinwa has shared her thoughts on how some men behave in relationships, particularly when it comes to lying.
During a recent interview, she claimed that men are generally not good at lying because they often contradict themselves, while women tend to think through their lies more carefully.
She said “This is what I’ve always said from time immemorial. I say this to my guy friends a lot. Men are not that great at liars. They think, ‘If I tell you this, it can become your truth if you never find out the other side.’
Nigerian actor Jim Iyke has shared his thoughts on the entertainment industry.
During a recent interview, the actor described the entertainment industry as an enabler that promotes values that do not glorify God.
He said “There is no bigger enabler than the entertainment industry. This is where d£mons live. Entertainment is totally orchestrated and created to extol the virtues of S@tanism. Nothing in the industry glorifies God.”
Nigerian actress Uche Ogbodo has sparked speculation about her marriage to her partner, Bobby Maris.
The rumours began after the actress questioned whether it was wrong for a woman to get tired of marriage. She stated that when men express such feelings, it is often accepted, but when women do, people assume something is wrong.
