Chelsea is actively pursuing a deal to acquire Victor Osimhen from Napoli on a season-long loan.

The proposed transfer would include an option for Chelsea to make the move permanent, while Romelu Lukaku would head to Napoli as part of the arrangement.

Lukaku, who spent the 2023-24 season on loan at Roma and scored 21 goals in 47 matches, would reunite with Napoli’s new head coach Antonio Conte, a former manager of Lukaku during their time at Inter Milan.

Osimhen, who has been a key player for Napoli since his transfer from Lille in July 2020, has netted 76 goals in 133 appearances for the club.

His performance has remained strong, with 15 goals last season despite Napoli’s struggle to replicate their previous Scudetto-winning form.

In addition to the transfer discussions, Osimhen recently scored in Napoli’s latest Serie A fixture, continuing his impressive run.

No new injury concerns have been reported, indicating he remains fit and ready for future matches.

As speculation swirls, other top European clubs are also reportedly keeping an eye on the striker, adding further intrigue to his potential move.
