On August 1, 2024, Nissi Ogulu, Burna Boy’s sister, celebrated her 30th birthday with a heartfelt private party surrounded by family and friends. Their mother, Bose Ogulu, delivered a touching speech, reminiscing about Nissi’s childhood and sharing that she endured 26 hours of labor and that Nissi is the only one who has Burna Boy’s “mumu button.”

Though initially reluctant, Burna Boy eventually spoke about his sister, sharing that “there is nothing I want to say that you don’t already know.” He also humorously criticized the birthday cake and promised to order the next one himself. The moments of warmth and humor from Burna Boy gave fans a glimpse of a more personal side of the usually serious star.
