YouTube Removes Davido’s ‘Ogechi Remix’ Music Video Over Copyright Dispute
In recent news, YouTube has taken down the music video for Davido’s wedding hit, “Ogechi Remix,” due to copyright concerns.
This track, which was a highlight of the celebration at Davido’s extravagant wedding to Chioma on June 25, 2024, features a collaboration with artists BoyPee, Brown Joel, and Hyce.
The video, which was uploaded on July 19, 2024, quickly garnered significant attention from fans.
However, it was recently removed from YouTube after a copyright claim was lodged. Despite this, the audio of “Ogechi Remix” remains accessible on BoyPee’s official YouTube channel.
Interestingly, it has come to light that Davido is not listed as the primary artist for the track on the platform.
Further investigation has revealed that the original version of “Ogechi,” which the remix is based on, was produced by another artist prior to the remix’s release.
