Boypee has refuted claims that the removal of the ‘Ogechi Remix’ video was due to what some have called Davido’s greed.

According to recent reports, the official video of the remix—which was notably featured at the wedding of Afrobeats star Davido and his wife Chioma—was taken down from the DMW YouTube channel because of copyright issues.

The controversy began when an X user with the handle @Johnnyescoba shared a report attributed to Boypee, suggesting that the video was removed because Davido allegedly sought to claim all the royalties from the video’s views.

The post included a purported quote from Boypee, stating, “‘We had to take down the Ogechi Remix video cuz Davido wanted to take all the royalties.’”

In response, Boypee dismissed these allegations as baseless and misleading. He questioned the motive behind such claims, saying, “Who said that, and for what gain? What would I possibly gain from spreading falsehood about someone’s success?” His statement highlights a clear denial of the accusations and emphasizes his disapproval of the misinformation being spread.
