D’banj and Don Jazzy Reunite for New Album ‘The Entertainer Sequel’
Renowned Nigerian artists D’banj and Don Jazzy have come together once more to collaborate on a new album titled The Entertainer Sequel.
This highly anticipated project marks a significant reunion, following a notable separation in their professional relationship.
D’banj announced the release through a video posted on his Instagram, featuring a short skit with appearances by Don Jazzy, TV host Jimmie Akinsola, actor Gideon Okeke, among others.
This album serves as a follow-up to D’banj’s acclaimed 2008 record, The Entertainer. It revisits some of his greatest hits with fresh remixes, including popular tracks like ‘Fall in Love’, ‘Feli Feli’, ‘Igwe’, and ‘Suddenly’. D’banj first gained widespread recognition with his 2005 hit single, ‘No Long Thing’.
Previously, D’banj and Don Jazzy were integral parts of the now-legendary Mo’Hits Records, a label they co-founded.
Their partnership was influential in shaping the Nigerian music scene, though they eventually parted ways. This new album signifies a noteworthy reconnection, promising a blend of nostalgia and new energy for their fans.
