BLACKPINK member LISA will make her solo debut at the MTV Video Music Awards (VMAs) this year, joining international stars like Benson Boone, Halsey, and Lenny Kravitz in the second lineup announcement.

Scheduled for Wednesday, September 11, at 8 p.m. ET/PT, the event will take place at New York’s UBS Arena. LISA, who is currently enjoying success with her singles “Rockstar” and “New Woman,” the latter a collaboration with Rosalía, will perform for the first time as a solo artist at the VMAs.

This appearance marks a significant moment for LISA, following her historic win in 2022 as the first solo female K-pop artist to receive a VMA. This year, she is nominated for four awards, including “Best K-pop” and “Best Choreography” for “Rockstar.”

Since leaving YG Entertainment and launching her own company, LLOUD, in early 2024, LISA has gained full creative control over her music. Her recent single “New Woman” set records with over six million Spotify streams on its debut day and has been a major success on YouTube and iTunes globally.
