Laycon Accuses DJ Neptune of Unpaid Royalties for ‘Nobody (Icons Remix)’
Popular Nigerian artist and former BBNaija winner, Laycon, has publicly criticized DJ Neptune for allegedly failing to pay him royalties from their collaboration.
On Wednesday, Laycon took to X (formerly Twitter) to express his frustration, claiming that DJ Neptune has not fulfilled his financial obligations for their joint track, “Nobody (Icons Remix).”
In his viral post, Laycon highlighted that it has been four years since the song’s release without any payment from DJ Neptune.
He emphasized the importance of artists honouring their contractual agreements and ensuring transparency in the music industry.
Laycon’s post read: “DJ Neptune, what’s the status of our agreement and revenue split for ‘Nobody (Icons Remix)’? It’s been four years; when will it be settled?”
The song, which also featured Joeboy, was released in October 2020 and was dedicated to Laycon’s fanbase, known as Icons. As of now, DJ Neptune has not responded to Laycon’s allegations or provided any clarification on the matter.

Babcock University Denies Issuing Carter Efe’s Alleged Certificate
Babcock University makes headlines as it speaks regarding content creator Carter Efe, who claimed that he studied at the school and graduated with a first-class degree.
When asked for proof, he shared a certificate that stated “First Class Upper.” However, the university has now spoken out, stating that the certificate is not from the school and is forged.
“Babcock University does not issue ‘Honorary Certificates’ in recognition of undergraduate academic performance. Academic excellence, including the award of First Class Honours, is formally recognized only through the University’s official degree certificate and academic transcript issued by the Office of the Registrar.”
“There is no academic classification or degree known to Babcock University as ‘First Class Upper.’ The recognized classification is First Class Honours.”
