Chidimma Adetshina Crowned Miss Universe Nigeria 2024

In a remarkable outcome, 23-year-old Chidimma Vanessa Adetshina, born in South Africa to a Nigerian father and a Mozambican mother, has been crowned Miss Universe Nigeria 2024. After facing controversy and withdrawing from Miss South Africa due to negative remarks and accusations from the South African Home Office, Chidimma entered the Miss Universe Nigeria pageant as Miss Taraba following a direct invitation from the organizers.
The competition culminated in a stunning display of beauty and intellect, with Chidimma emerging as the overall winner. Miss Anambra Paula Ezendu was named the first runner-up and Miss Supranational, while Miss Ondo Ayegbidun Peace Olamide took the title of Miss Lush. After her victory, Chidimma declared, “This crown is not just for beauty; it’s a call for unity.” She will now represent Nigeria at the Miss Universe contest.
