Senate Minority Leader and PDP chieftain, Abba Moro, has hinted that Peter Obi and former President Goodluck Jonathan could return to the Peoples Democratic Party ahead of the 2027 elections.

Speaking during an interview on Channels Television’s Politics Today, the Benue South Senator revealed that conversations are already taking place about Obi’s possible comeback. According to him, some individuals are reaching out to the former Labour Party presidential candidate, urging him to return with the promise that he stands a strong chance of becoming PDP’s candidate if he does.

When asked about Goodluck Jonathan, Moro admitted that some party members are also in talks with the former president about a possible run. While acknowledging concerns from those who argue over constitutional limits due to Jonathan’s previous terms, Moro dismissed the fears, recalling how the matter was settled in 2015 when Jonathan’s eligibility was legally upheld.

He maintained that both men remain influential figures, and their return could reshape the PDP’s strength ahead of the 2027 general elections.
