Actor Deyemi Okanlawon Speaks On Gender Roles In Marriage
Nigerian actor Deyemi Okanlawon speaks on gender roles in marriage and family.
During a recent interview, the actor shared that if his wife were to become the breadwinner of the family, he would not mind staying at home and taking care of the house.
He explained that many men might be uncomfortable with the idea of their women earning more money, but stated that he is open to the idea.
“I pray, God, please let my wife just hit one million, $10 million per annum. If you see me act… I’ll be a househusband. There’s money. What are you doing again? I find that a lot of men are not comfortable with that dynamic and so they’re already hypersensitive.”

Nigerian TikTok influencer Peller makes headlines for his vows to his wife, Jarvis, at their white wedding, which was held on August 1, 2026. The couple had previously announced the date ahead of their wedding.
The influencer added in his vows “We are one. Whatever is mine is yours. I promise to do 50/50 with you; I don’t care what people say.”
Fans were left in awe of the couple and shared how their love appears genuine despite the content and jokes they often make online.

It can be noted that the music executive wrote out the offer on his phone and simply put it out “₦500 Million Naira to fight your twin in a boxing match.”
