Ademola Lookman is keeping his future plans under wraps, despite growing speculation that he could be making a return to the English Premier League.

The 27-year-old winger, currently thriving at Serie A side Atalanta, remains focused on his present achievements rather than entertaining transfer rumors.

Lookman, who began his professional career with Charlton Athletic, is no stranger to English football.

He has had spells with Premier League clubs such as Everton, Fulham, and Leicester City.

Although his time in the Premier League was marked by moments of promise, it wasn’t until his move to Atalanta in 2022 from RB Leipzig that he truly began to flourish.

Under Gian Piero Gasperini’s management, Lookman has found consistency, sharpening his skills and becoming a key player for the Italian club.

In an interview with Sporty TV, Lookman reflected on his personal and professional growth since moving to Italy.

“As a person, I’ve grown and matured a lot here.

I’ve achieved things I’m proud of, and that’s because I’ve developed a clear process in terms of my work ethic, mindset, and the areas of my life that needed improvement,” he said.

Indeed, his time at Atalanta has seen him score crucial goals, including standout performances in both Serie A and European competitions.

His contributions helped Atalanta secure UEFA Europa League glory in 2024, where his hat-trick against Bayer Leverkusen in the final cemented his status as a top performer.

However, Lookman remains non-committal about what comes next.

“It’s all about who I’m becoming today. I’m pleased with my progress, and wherever the future takes me, we’ll see,” he added.
