Al-Hilal Offers €300M for Rodrygo to Replace Neymar

In a bold move to fill the void left by Neymar Jr., Saudi Pro League club Al-Hilal has reportedly offered Real Madrid a staggering €300 million for Brazilian forward Rodrygo.
The 22-year-old, who has been instrumental in Real Madrid’s recent successes, including their 2022 and 2024 La Liga–Champions League doubles, is seen as a prime candidate to rejuvenate Al-Hilal’s attacking prowess.
Neymar’s tenure with Al-Hilal was marred by injuries, limiting him to just seven appearances, during which he contributed one goal and three assists.
Following a severe cruciate ligament tear that sidelined him for the entire 2023-24 season, the club and Neymar mutually agreed to terminate his contract. The Brazilian star has since returned to his former club, Santos, on a six-month deal.
Al-Hilal is reportedly prepared to offer Rodrygo a lucrative salary to entice him to the Saudi Pro League. However, Rodrygo, who recently extended his contract with Real Madrid until 2028, has expressed his desire to remain with the Spanish giants and continue his development in European football.

Carlo Ancelotti Dismisses Speculation About Luka Modric’s Playing Limitations

Real Madrid Manager, Carlo Ancelotti shuts down talks of Luka Modric not playing two games in a row.
Modric played in the last Real Madrid’s match which ended in 2-0 against Girona.
However in the fixtures for the next match, it was noted that the player was on bench. This sparked speculations that the player can’t play two games in a row.
In a recent interview, Carlo Ancelloti speaks on speculations and shuts down talk. “It’s NOT true that Luka Modrić can’t play 2 games in a row as he’s 39. Luka can play 2 games in a row without any problem.”
“He’s fine, well trained, very good physically. The data we have show he is very well prepared to play.”

Neymar Says Pelé Is the Only True King of Football and Not Ronaldo or Messi

Neymar Jr. has revealed who he believes is the true king of football, and it’s not Cristiano Ronaldo or Lionel Messi.
Days after Ronaldo declared himself the greatest footballer of all time, Neymar made it clear that, for him, there’s only one king—Brazilian legend “Pelé”.
Speaking with The Grefg, the 33-year-old said, “It’s not that I didn’t want to be a king, it’s that for me there is only one king, and that is Pelé.”
Reflecting on his own career, Neymar admitted that injuries have affected his journey, but he remains grateful. “Many things happened. I had many injuries that cost me a lot, but that’s how God wanted it. I have no reason to be sad. I am very happy with my story and my life.”
After years in Europe and a stint with Al Hilal in Saudi Arabia, Neymar recently returned to Santos, the club where his career began. Since rejoining, he has played six matches, scoring twice and providing three assists.
While Messi and Ronaldo are often regarded as the greatest players ever, Neymar stands firm in his belief that Pelé remains football’s true king.

“You Can’t Have Nine Goalkeepers and Not Know Your Number One” – Cole Criticizes Chelsea

Former Chelsea star Joe Cole has criticized the club’s goalkeeper transfer strategy, calling it fundamentally flawed.
Speaking on the Dressing Room podcast, Cole questioned how a club could have as many as nine goalkeepers and still struggle to identify a clear first-choice.
“There’s something systematically wrong because you can’t have nine goalkeepers on your books and not know which one is your number one,” he said.
Chelsea currently have four goalkeepers in their first-team squad: Robert Sanchez (27), Flip Jorgensen (22), Lucas Bergstrom (22), and Marcus Bettinelli (32). Meanwhile, Djordje Petrovic (25) and Kepa Arrizabalaga (30) are out on loan, and Genk’s Mike Penders (19) is set to join in 2025.
Cole believes the club’s recruitment policy for goalkeepers has been mismanaged. “If your system works well, you shouldn’t make as many mistakes that have been made with goalkeepers,” he added.
