Former English professional footballer and Arsenal legend, Alan Smith has shared his thoughts on the possibility of Gabriel Martinelli leaving the club amid interest from Saudi Pro League side Al-Hilal.

Smith questioned the possibility of Arsenal allowing Martinelli to leave for a reported fee of around £50 million, suggesting that the Brazilian winger is worth more in the current transfer market.

Speaking about Martinelli, Smith said: “For Al-Hilal, he will be a good signing. Martinelli isn’t an average player. Martinelli has been very good for Arsenal over the years. He’s maybe lost his way a little bit.”
