Ali Baba Recalls Tense Encounter with Sani Abacha
Nigerian comedian Ali Baba shared a tense encounter with former military leader Sani Abacha, calling it a “near-death experience.” He recalled the incident during a podcast appearance, describing an event in Abuja where he was asked to introduce the Akwa Ibom cultural group.
While they were performing, Ali Baba boldly asked Abacha to remove his sunglasses, saying, “Your Excellency, it’s almost 10; why are you wearing dark glasses? Don’t you want to see the performance?” Abacha complied, and the show continued. Ali Baba noticed DSS officers gathering backstage.
Instead of leaving, he sat beside Abacha, who joked about his decision to stay. In the end, Abacha gave him the sunglasses as a gift.
Nigerian fashion designer Veekee James celebrated her 31st birthday and shared pictures on social media with her daughter.
The influencer spoke about how her life has changed and described motherhood as the greatest gift she has received.
“A year older, but the greatest gift isn’t the age… It’s the title I earned this year: MOTHER! This birthday hits differently because my heart now beats outside my body.”

Nigerian actor Bovi has spoken about marriage and divorce, sharing his thoughts on the subject.
The actor revealed during a recent interview that not all divorces should be seen as failures.
He explained that sometimes a marriage gets to a point where one or both partners can no longer breathe comfortably in the relationship, which could eventually lead to divorce.
“I celebrate when people get divorced because I feel it means one or both people were not breathing well in the marriage.”

During a recent interview, the actor revealed that his wife gave him the most painful news he had ever received.
“The only person that did the most painful thing to me in life is my wife. The incident brought tears to my eyes. She’s late now, may God forgive her.”
