Ali Baba Shares Journey to Triplets After IVF

In a recent interview on the Leadership Podcast, comedian Ali Baba shared the story behind the birth of his triplets with his wife, Mary Bassey-Akpobome. After having two daughters, Mary expressed a desire for a son, prompting the couple to consider in vitro fertilization (IVF) to expand their family.
Ali Baba humorously recounted how their plan evolved when the second embryo unexpectedly split, resulting in triplets. Initially skeptical about the costs and challenges, he agreed to try IVF after Mary’s persuasion. He announced the triplets’ birth on April Fool’s Day 2024, which led to mixed reactions from his followers, many unsure if it was a joke. However, the confusion was cleared the following month when photos and videos from the babies’ dedication were shared online.
