Manchester United boss Ruben Amorim has made it clear once again that he has no plans to abandon his tactical approach, no matter the pressure he faces.

The 40-year-old Portuguese coach has come under fire after United’s poor run of form, but he insists that even the highest influence won’t convince him to switch from his trusted style of play.

When asked if he had considered changing his setup, Amorim replied firmly:

“No, not at all. I haven’t thought about changing once. Not even the Pope could make me change.”

Since taking charge, Amorim has consistently deployed his 3-4-2-1 system. However, the results have not been kind to him. His current record leaves him with the lowest win percentage of any Manchester United manager since the Second World War, and the club has endured its worst Premier League start in over three decades

Despite the struggles, Amorim believes altering his style would only confuse his players and weaken their trust in his vision.
