“Another PR Disaster” – Keith Wyness Slams Manchester United
Former Premier League club CEO Keith Wyness has criticized Manchester United over their latest move under new co-owner Sir Jim Ratcliffe.
Reports last month suggested that the club was preparing to lay off over 100 staff members. This comes after 250 employees were already let go in 2024, with more cuts expected as Ratcliffe looks to reduce the club’s financial losses.
The latest decision now making headlines involves major cutbacks at the staff canteen at Carrington. Wyness is not impressed, calling it “another PR disaster” and expressing his frustration over how the situation is being handled.

“They can be dangerous. It is a very good team. They lost against Germany, but that game could have been a draw or even a win.
“So, it’s not like they came out of the group with one loss because of a bad game against Germany. They played a good game against Germany and could easily have gotten a point against them.”
