Asake Tops Burna Boy on Billboard Chart
Nigerian singer Ahmed Ololade, better known as Asake, has overtaken Burna Boy as the artist with the most entries on the Billboard U.S. Afrobeats Songs chart. This week, Asake debuted nine tracks from his latest album, Lungu Boy , pushing his total chart entries to 50.
His track *Active*, featuring American rapper Travis Scott, currently sits at the top of the chart. Launched in April 2022, the Billboard U.S. Afrobeats Songs chart has been consistently dominated by Nigerian artists since its inception.

Nigerian Singer Peter Okoye popularly known for the former music duo, P-Square reveals reason for split.
During a recent interview, the singer states that fans are the reason for the duo’s break up. He lamented how fans loved to compare which brother/singer was better.
The singer then explained how it affected his relationship and business with his brother, Paul Okoye.
“Fans are the reasons Psquare no dey together today. Two brothers dey do one thing, una talk say one better pass one, e con enter one head, he begin misbehave”.
Nigerian Singer Spyro starts up a controversy as he claims that gospel singers only start because of the money.
During a recent interview, the singer claimed that many gospel singers focus on the financial gain and not the spiritual gain.
He claims that there are now little differences between gospel singers and secular artists. “The people that claim to be gospel artists or gospel ministers are just artists -they are in the business to make money just like us in the Afrobeats industry.”
