Asake’s third album, ‘Lungu Boy,’ released on August 9, 2024, set new records on Spotify Nigeria with 15.47 million streams in its first five days, surpassing Davido’s ‘Timeless.’ It also broke the record for the biggest opening week and day for a Nigerian album globally.
The track ‘MMS’ set a new daily streaming record on Spotify Nigeria. Internationally, ‘Lungu Boy’ matched the highest-charting Nigerian album on Apple Music US and reached No. 1 on the Apple Music UK Chart, marking Asake’s third consecutive album to do so.
