Japanese Actor and Famous Naruto Star, Eiji Yanagisawa passes away at age 57 from a Brain hemorrhage. The actor dies on the 12th of November 2024 and the Baobab production releases a tribute to the actor appreciating his workings and kindness.

Eiji had an impressive career as he acted in a lot of major animes such as Naruto, Code Geass, Digimon, Suit Gundam Seed, The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya and so on. The late actor has left a he mark in the anime world ad well as the gaming world when he voiced characters like Warlock Roland and Romano in Tales of Zestiris.

Former Kogi State Governor, Alhaji Yahaya Bello, has pleaded not guilty to a 16-count charge filed by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).

Arraigned alongside Umar Oricha and Abdulsalami Hudu before Justice Maryann Anenih of the FCT High Court, Maitama, Bello is accused of conspiracy, criminal breach of trust, and misappropriation of state funds.

The EFCC alleges the defendants acquired high-value properties with stolen funds, including:

N950 million property in Maitama, Abuja.

N920 million property in Asokoro, Abuja.

Luxury hotel apartment in Dubai worth over AED 5.6 million.

The charges also involve suspicious transfers to foreign accounts and unlawful possession of N677.8 million from Bespoque Business Solution Limited.

The trial continues, with the former governor denying all charges.

A ceasefire agreement has been reached to end months of hostilities between Israel and Hezbollah, with Israel set to gradually withdraw its forces from southern Lebanon over the next 60 days. The Lebanese Army and state security forces will take control of the region, President Joe Biden announced.

The conflict, which began on October 8, 2023, has displaced over 300,000 Lebanese and forced 70,000 Israelis to live as refugees in their own country. Lebanese caretaker Prime Minister Najib Mikati welcomed the deal, while Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu emphasized Israel’s right to self-defense if the truce is violated.

In a joint statement, Biden and French President Emmanuel Macron pledged support for enforcing the agreement and strengthening Lebanon’s Armed Forces, alongside initiatives for the country’s economic recovery.

Hezbollah, which did not directly participate in the negotiations mediated by Lebanese parliamentary speaker Nabih Berri, has yet to issue a statement on the truce.

The conflict has claimed the lives of at least 3,768 Lebanese and injured 15,699, leaving Lebanon grappling with the aftermath of war.
