ATEEZ has finally shared their thoughts on the ongoing buzz comparing them to the fictional boy group Saja Boys from the Netflix animation K-Pop Demon Hunters.

For weeks, fans have been pointing out how the real-life K-pop stars seem to mirror the animated band’s bold style, stage presence, and fantasy-driven energy. The chatter grew louder after the release of ATEEZ’s video for In Your Fantasy, which some said looked like it could have been lifted straight from the world of the film.

The movie itself, released in June 2025, introduced Saja Boys as its flashy, demon-inspired rivals. Their look and sound mix dark glamour, heavy choreography, and the kind of over-the-top production that K-pop is known for. According to the filmmakers, the characters weren’t modeled after one single group but were drawn from different aspects of the industry, along with traditional Korean cultural elements.

Still, the similarities didn’t escape fans. Some even went as far as comparing certain Saja Boys characters to ATEEZ members. San was often mentioned because of his intense presence and sharp visuals that reminded people of the animated star Abby Saja.

When asked about it, Yeosang admitted he had heard the comparisons several times. He pointed out that while there’s a similar fantasy-like mood in In Your Fantasy, the concept was planned long before the film came out, so the overlap is likely coincidence rather than inspiration.

San, on the other hand, took the comparisons with humor and humility. While he didn’t claim any direct link, he said he understood why fans might connect his stage charisma with what they saw in the movie.
