Bandits Attack Tsafe LGA in Zamfara, Kill Two Drivers and Abduct Numerous Passengers
Bandits struck Magazu village in Tsafe Local Government Area of Zamfara State in two separate attacks on Monday, August 12, 2024.
In the first attack, which occurred around 5:15 p.m., the bandits killed a truck driver and abducted scores of passengers from four vehicles.
Later, at 6:30 p.m., they returned to the same spot, targeting a commercial Volkswagen Gulf and abducting its passengers.
Local residents reported a resurgence of banditry along the Funtua-Gusau Road.
The State Police Commissioner, CP Muhammad Shehu Dalijan, confirmed the truck driver’s death but had no information on the other incidents.
