Barau Jibrin Says APC Is Strong and Ready to Win Big in 2027 Elections
Deputy Senate President Senator Barau Jibrin is confident that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the All Progressives Congress (APC) will win big in the 2027 general elections. Speaking at the APC Northwest Zonal meeting organized by Kaduna State Governor Uba Sani, he called on party members to stay united and keep backing the President to ensure continued progress and electoral success.
Barau said, “Insha’Allah, we are headed for a landslide victory in 2027. Let’s keep working together, support the President, and stay united to reach our goals.” He credited the recent wave of defections from opposition parties to the APC’s growing appeal, which he linked to Tinubu’s leadership and efforts in addressing Nigeria’s security and economic problems.
“The increasing number of opposition members joining our party is no coincidence. It reflects the positive changes under President Tinubu’s leadership,” Barau noted. “Security in the Northwest has improved a lot. Areas that were once dangerous, like Birnin Gwari and parts of the Abuja-Kaduna corridor, are now safe and accessible.”
While acknowledging there is still work to be done, he stressed that the administration’s ongoing reforms and projects show they are moving in the right direction. “We are making progress. The President is working hard to tackle the nation’s challenges, especially insecurity in the North.” Barau also praised APC governors for their commitment to grassroots development, saying their efforts strengthen the party’s influence across the region.
He applauded APC National Chairman Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje for promoting unity and growth within the party, urging all members and leaders to continue collaborating. “With the strength we have now and the momentum building, it feels like no other party can match us, especially in the Northwest,” he said. “Let’s stay focused, united, and determined to deliver a big victory in 2027.”

First Lady Oluremi Tinubu Speaks on Forgiveness and Moving Forward
First Lady of Nigeria, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, has shared that she has forgiven those who betrayed her husband during the 2023 general elections.
She revealed this as she marked a new age, reflecting on what the future holds. She emphasized that she holds no grudge against anyone.
“I do not have anything against anyone. The question is how I stopped feeling the betrayal? I knew the grace factor was evident, and the Holy Spirit continually comforted me. I chose never to avenge myself, understanding that it is God’s prerogative. Mine is to thank Him for fighting for us. If God decides to fight your battles and you have won, is there anything else that God missed and you wanted to fix? Nothing. So, let it go.”
