Nigerian singer Tems has reached another major career milestone by becoming the first female African artist to earn a Diamond-certified single in the United States.

The achievement comes through “WAIT FOR U,” her collaboration with Future and Drake, which has now been certified 11× Platinum (Diamond) by the RIAA, representing over 11 million units sold.

The certification reads “US Certifications (@RIAA): Future feat. Drake & Tems – WAIT FOR U – 11× Platinum (11,000,000).”

With the achievement, Tems joins the list of African artists who have earned Diamond-certified records in the United States
