Benin City Protesters Hit the Streets Demanding Change
Thousands of demonstrators have taken to the streets of Benin City in a powerful display of public dissent against perceived governmental failures.
The protest, organized under the banner of the “EndBadGovernance” movement, has seen crowds chanting slogans such as “Tinubu Ole,” a term expressing frustration and accusing President Bola Tinubu of corruption and mismanagement.
The demonstration began in the early hours of the morning, with protesters gathering at key locations throughout the city.
They carried banners and placards highlighting issues such as economic hardship, poor infrastructure, and lack of transparency in government dealings.
The atmosphere was charged with a sense of urgency, as citizens voiced their demand for substantial reforms and accountability from their leaders.
The protest comes amid growing public discontent with the current administration, reflecting broader national concerns over governance and economic challenges.
As the situation develops, observers and commentators are closely watching to see how the government will address the grievances raised by the protesters and whether this demonstration will spark similar actions in other parts of the country.

Analyst Says Tinubu Not Responsible for Recent U.S.-Linked Airstrike Claims
Nigerian news analyst, Mahmud Jega, has shared his opinion on the recent airstrike carried out by the United States in Nigeria, stating that Nigerians should not blame President Bola Tinubu for the incident.
Jega made this statement during a recent interview, where he said he does not believe many people will hold the Tinubu administration responsible, as Donald Trump had issued threats against Nigeria long before Tinubu’s administration.
“No, I don’t think many people will blame the Tinubu administration for what is happening now because President Donald Trump, when he first made the threats, it was clearly not in coordination with the Tinubu administration or the government of Nigeria,” Jega said.
