Blake Lively Attends SXSW Premiere of New Film After Legal Dispute With Justin Baldoni
Blake Lively made a notable appearance at the South by Southwest (SXSW) Film & TV Festival on March 7, 2025, attending the premiere of her latest film, “Another Simple Favor.”
This event marked her first public engagement since the onset of her legal dispute with actor and director Justin Baldoni.
At the premiere, Lively appeared upbeat and engaged, interacting warmly with fans and posing for photographs.
She expressed her enthusiasm about reprising her role as Emily Nelson, stating that reuniting with co-star Anna Kendrick was “the best” and that the experience was thoroughly enjoyable.
“Another Simple Favor,” directed by Paul Feig, is the sequel to the 2018 film “A Simple Favor.”
The narrative follows Stephanie (Kendrick), now a private investigator, as she attends Emily’s (Lively) extravagant wedding in Capri, Italy. The film is scheduled for release on Amazon Prime Video on May 1.
Lively’s appearance comes amid an ongoing legal battle with Baldoni, her co-star and director in the film adaptation of “It Ends with Us.”
In December 2024, Lively filed a complaint with the California Civil Rights Department, alleging that Baldoni had created a hostile work environment through inappropriate comments and unsolicited physical contact during filming. Baldoni has denied these allegations and has filed a defamation lawsuit in response.
