Nigerian rapper and actor Folarin Falana, better known as Falz, has spoken about the buzz surrounding his marital status. This is after social media was flooded with talk that he had secretly gotten married.

The rumors kicked off when he shared a set of traditional wedding-themed photos that instantly went viral. Many fans assumed that they were taken from an actual ceremony. Falz later cleared the air, explaining that the pictures were simply from a creative photoshoot and not evidence of a real wedding.

Addressing the speculation on Instagram, he jokingly remarked that when he eventually ties the knot, people might not even believe him. He went on to add that he owes no one the details of his personal life, though he hasn’t completely dismissed the idea of going public with his marriage if he feels the need to share that moment.

“When folks found out I wasn’t actually married, they started saying it was like the boy who cried wolf. Maybe when it finally happens, nobody will care. It’s funny that people assume I’ll announce it if I do get married,” he said with a laugh.

Still, he left fans curious by captioning his post with, “E fit still sup this year oh. Stay tuned.”
