Busta Rhymes Gets His Star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame

On August 2, 2025, Hollywood Hip-hop veteran Busta Rhymes was finally given his flowers as he received his own star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, becoming the 2,818th person to earn the prestigious honor. The ceremony took place on Hollywood Boulevard, where longtime fans, friends, and fellow artists gathered to celebrate a rap icon whose career has spanned decades.

Busta stood before the crowd with emotion in his voice and gratitude in his heart. He spoke about how hard he worked to get to this point, saying he never looked for shortcuts or handouts. “I feel like I’m being born again today,” he told the crowd. “This is a full-circle moment for me.”

Meanwhile, the ceremony wasn’t short of star power. LL Cool J took the mic to speak about Busta’s unmatched energy and impact, calling his career magical. He praised Busta for always bringing something new to the table and for never losing his voice in a fast-changing industry.

Chuck D, who actually gave Busta his stage name back in the day, also shared memories and praised his consistency.
