Cassano Tells Napoli to Sign Lookman as Kvaratskhelia’s Replacement
Former Real Madrid striker Antonio Cassano has urged Napoli to go after Atalanta’s star winger, Ademola Lookman. Cassano believes the Super Eagles forward would be the perfect signing for Antonio Conte’s squad as they look to fill the gap left by Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, who recently made the move to Paris Saint-Germain.
Speaking during a chat on Twitch with Viva El Futbol, Cassano praised Lookman’s qualities saying, “If it were up to me, I’d sign Lookman. That would be an incredible addition. He’s fast, he scores goals, creates assists, and has been developed by one of the best, Gian Piero Gasperini.”
Head coach of Atletico Madrid, Diego Simeone, speaks on team defense and called out a player who needs to toughen up. He shared that Ademola Lookman needs to work on defense.
“Ademola Lookman arrived with great enthusiasm and desire to keep growing. We need him to add defensive work to what he already gives us offensively, because he has that ability,” he then added.
“He’s shown it with the Nigeria national team, and we need him in that role.”
