Chimamanda Adichie Breaks Silence on Surrogacy Criticism, Hopes for a More Supportive Society for Women
Popular Nigerian Author Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie speaks up about her surrogacy journey since she received backlash on the news.
During a recent interview with Chude Jideonwo, the author spoke on the criticisms she faced for accepting a surrogacy for the birth of her twins.
“My boys are so precious to me. And I hated that anything about them would become politicised. So, on the one hand, I thought, ‘I wish I hadn’t talked about it.’ But on the other hand, there is no way I am going to lie about the process of birthing them.”
She then addresses the backlash and shared her hope that other women who go through surrogacy will be accepted by the society and not criticized.

Nigerian singer Asake speaks on his relationship with his father. In a recent interview he shared that he loves his father despite any distance.
“The love is still the same between me and my dad, even if I don’t live with him or see him every day, Even if he points a gun at me, till eternity he will always be my dad, and I will still show him the same love.”
It can be noted that few weeks back the singer gifted his father and his mother a car.

In a recent interview with Korty EO, the singer shared that it was against his father to pursue music. His mother then recalled how he came to turn them down on studying abroad and stated he wanted to stay and learn in Nigeria.
The singer studied performing arts at OAU.
