Chude Jideonwo Opens Up on His Battle with Depression and the Birth of “WithChude”

Popular Nigerian Tv Host, Chude Jideonwo reveals his reason for motivation behind his now popular podcast, Interview Series With Chude.

During a recent interview, the tv host shared that he started the podcast after his battle with depression. He stated that he faced a hard time with the criticism online.

Chude then evened that he stumbled upon an episode of Oprah Winfrey, and that particular episode spoke on managing criticism.

“One day, I woke up, picked up my phone, saw the trend, and broke down in tears. I then called a colleague asking him why Nigerians hate me so much. He gave me an intellectual strategic answer but it was not what I was looking for because I was hurt.”

“So, I went on YouTube and searched ‘what do when people hate you’. I came across an interview between Oprah Winfrey and Brené Brown.”
