Copyright Lawsuit Against Dua Lipa Dismissed, Judge Says Claims Lack Merit
It has been reported that the recent copyright lawsuit against Popular singer, Dua Lipa, has been dismisses by Judge Katherine Pol Failla.
This news was confirmed on the 27th of march, 2025. It can be recalled that the singer has been hit with a similar copyright lawsuit back in 2022. It was claimed by Florida reggae group that Dua Lipa’s Levitating was established on their song.
However such case was dismissed in June 2023, the same case arises in 2022 by L.Russell Brown and Sandy Linzer claiming the song’s copyright.
Despite these claims the Judge concluded that copyright infringement on the song has failed. Judge Katherine Polk Failla then quotes ““a chord progression and harmonic rhythm, in combination, could not constitute protectable expression under copyright law.”

The artist took to social media and revealed this sad news.
