Cucurella Believes Chelsea Can Win the UEFA Conference League This Season

Chelsea left-back Marc Cucurella is confident that the Blues can go all the way in the UEFA Conference League this season. He believes their chances are strong if they approach every game with confidence and trust in their abilities.

Speaking ahead of Chelsea’s 2-1 win over Copenhagen in the Round of 16 first leg, Cucurella reminded his teammates that they are representing a big club and should always think about winning.

“Chelsea is a top club with top players,” he said. “We have the talent and ability, so we need to believe we can win this competition. If we go all in, we can make it happen.”

The Spaniard also mentioned the significance of lifting the trophy, noting that it would be Chelsea’s first in this tournament and a great opportunity to prove themselves.

“We know we have the quality,” he added. “Winning this would be special, and we have no excuses. It’s up to us to take this chance.”

Chelsea remain unbeaten in the competition and are seen as strong contenders. If they go all the way, they could become the first club to win all three of UEFA’s major tournaments.

The referee reveals how it was his first time in a semi final and was kind of nervous. “I’ve been to three AFCON tournaments, but this is the first time I’ve been in a semi-final.”

“So when coaches choose you for that game, they know your skills and what you can do. But of course, you feel a little nervous because of the level of the match.”
