Darkoo Shines Bright at 2025 MOBO Awards, Wins Two Major Categories
British-Nigerian Rapper, Darkoo, secured two wins at the 2025 MOBO Awards show. The singer won the “Best Female Act” and the “Song of the year” for her hit song “Favorite Girl”.
Among Darkoo, other fan favorite artists also emerged as winners at the award show, such as Central Cee, Ayra Starr and Bashy.
Darkoo’s biggest hit “Favorite Girl” easily became known globally and won the fans heart with its infectious rhythm and vibe. The song takes us back to early 2000’s as it’s plays a beat from P-Square. Popular Nigerian artists that trended back in the early 2000.

Singer Asake Turned Down Studying Abroad — Mother Reveals
Mother of Nigerian singer, Asake revealed that he once rejected the opportunity to study abroad.
In a recent interview with Korty EO, the singer shared that it was against his father to pursue music. His mother then recalled how he came to turn them down on studying abroad and stated he wanted to stay and learn in Nigeria.
The singer studied performing arts at OAU.
